Forgotten Lore "Glittering Darkness"

Forgotten Lore formed in 2000 and have since worked very hard, releasing 2 live CD's along the way.

In 2003 they win a competition for emerging groups!

They then go to Rome to complete their first 5 song E.P. (Glittering Darkness) in 3 days!

As I have stated in past reviews, this type of metal isn't my favorite. Forgotten Lore does a good job.

My biggest beef with bands is vocal styles.

Forgotten Lore's vocals are very intense and fall nothing short of being soft

I feel differently towards them. The vocals don't make me want to shut the shit off.

Some of these bands I would rather listen to 1,000 cats being skinned alive & thrown in a vat of rubbing alcohol then listen to their singing.

They have a unique enough feel to them to separate them from the norm.

They break away for some clean vocals in track 3 "Lost Soul" which is a brave move.

I think it works to their advantage and there will be only great things ahead for this band.

The music sounds great ripping through my speakers.

I will listen to this once again and it will make it to my PC jukebox (A sure sign if a band is worthy or not!).

I would recommend this EP and to catch them live.
