The metal scene in Rome is rich in bands but not in spaces to perform, how do you manage in this context?
As you can see from our concerts we are forced to use places outside Rome, in Viterbo, Ladispoli, Fiumicino, where it is easier to organize metal nights; obviously to do a concert in such places it means to do it for music's sake, and you have often to lose some money yourself in petrol or something else....
Oh yes, we have succeeded in playing at the ALPHEUS .....but... what a grind!!!
It is not easy to sell two hundred prepaid 5 euro tickets in two weeks!
Let's speak about tonight: who gave birth to the idea?
And why at the ALPHEUS ? ( Certainly not a small place! )
The ELIGOR group asked us to help them to organize an evening performance in Rome.
The ALPHEUS has been the only possible place.
What about the other groups taking part in the concert tonight, are they your friends?
Have you involved other groups, maybe more known, to attract an audience composed not only of friends and relatives?
At the moment we just know each other more than being friends, we hope to set up a stronger bond with them (we are already speaking of a performance at the ALCATRAZ together with the ELIGOR), other groups who had to take part gave up at the last moment as they didn't succeed in selling their part of the tickets (we had to sell them in 2 days...); anyway they were emergent groups, we didn't want to involve big names, we preferred to offer a " new " performance.
Are you satisfied about this night?
I'd say it has been exactly what I wanted; the audience have given me much satisfaction because they have followed the rhythm clapping continuously and lighting up their lighters when our songs were more melodic...and we are really satisfied even for the several compliments received for our songs more than for the cover.
